Jessie LaVon

"I grew up a sharecroppers' daughter where my Southern style reflects the disappearing scenes of my childhood. I am self-taught."

Born in Demopolis, Alabama Jessie carries on the family tradition of folk art and conjure art, from her mother and grandmother. All works are original and on stretched artist canvas in Jessie's "Suthern'ality style" showing scenes from her childhood and life experiences. Her art is a true reflection of Jessie.
