Myrtice West   

                            

Born in September 1923 Alabama folk artist Myrtice West was raised in the rural South. She developed a quiet inner strength through her deep religious upbringing and living through the hard farm life of the time. Religious themes dominate her work as she brings Bible teachings to life in her paintings.
