Rufas

Alabama self-taught folk artist Rufas is profoundly influenced by the music that he listens to as he paints his lively, colorful works. Drawing his inspiration from the music and from fellow Alabama folk artists such as Mose Tolliver, Jimmie Lee Sudduth and Lonnie Holley, Rufas pays homage to these great artists and to the music he love.

From December, 2004 thru January, 2005 his work was included in a group showing at Le Triptyque in Paris, France at the invitation of the hip hop group The Roots.
